There was some interest at my local when it released last August but I didn't hear much after that. I'll have to pop in sometime and ask.

Casual gaming, mostly solo-coop these days.

Seems quiet sadly :/

Too fiddly maneuvering system that is a pain to use and doesnt feel rewarding.
And only two factions, so far with limited range, and a haste-work rulebook dont spell a future but i sure hope im wrong, i love the concept.

We have a half dozen players in NW London, but waiting on 'more'. Currently the options are limited. Most of us are former AI players.

There are 5 or so players @ my flgs and I try to get 2-3 games when i play and play approx 2-3 times a month. I have a feeling that when other factions are finally released, we'll get a few more.

Got 4 players at my flgs and we get in 2 games a week usually, with about that number who want to play but want other factions.

I was going to get both sides and bought in big, to drum up interest in my gaming group.

I read the rules, tried it and found it far inferior to the original, and sold it all off.

So no AI at all in my gaming group. If we do play, it'll be the original rules (maybe with new models).

I too went in fairly big on both sides, got everything painted but havent played more than a few games and tbh no interest to play more of the game in its current state.
Im keeping all the stuff (tucked into foam in my closet) with hopes of the game evolving into something fun, or for use when AT eventually evolves into Epic.

Id love to play Apocalypse in AT scale.

I got the starter box and that's it. There was interest in my area initially, but interest has somewhat dropped off. Mostly due to only two factions, limited options, also the official play board sold out on the GW website. We can't use 3rd party mats in the GW lgs. I'm holding off on buying anything else for it until I see what's next for the game. It desperately needs Tau or Eldar, a sleeker faction to offset the more clunky imperials and orks.

I was super excited, but once I saw the scale change and looked at the rules, I decided AI 1.0 was a better way for me and my group. I all ready had what I needed and did not want to re-buy it all for a lesser system.

Once the range expands, I might re-buy in with the new models but not until I can get a few factions in one go.

The biggest enemy to the success of a new game is other game releases. The best defense is to release enough content to insure a significant buy-in immediately. Speaking from personal experience, CMON release of Targaryens has ended any chance that I will get into it and the GW faithful in my area are knee deep in Warcry content. GW should probably just table AI as a board game and move on because they missed their opportunity.

Paradigm for a happy relationship with Games Workshop: Burn the books and take the models to a different game.
