Just my opinions. Aimed towards new players to help them compare the game as it evolved over the years.

Interesting, especially the bits from 3rd edition fascinated me.

I was playing Claymore Saga, Hero Quest and Star Quest when I was 10ish years old, but I started with WHF end of 5th Edition only.

Good Video! I tend to think that WAB had more in common with the 5th edition due to the percentages, and high point values.

I do recommend any WHFB player to keep multiple rules editions in their library and generally that includes 6th and 8th for core with as many books as possible, 3rd is good as a stand alone and one of the post 8th legacy products such as, CE, 8.5 or early edition T9A.

Formatting and font choice was also 5th.

I realized my comments about 3rd edition combat were not correct. I found a spot where it showed a unit being pushed back while surrounded and it said the GM decided to leave it in place and assume it was pushed back. What? I thought being pushed back meant being pushed back, and failure to do so was not an option. Yet it says that the GM just ruled that the unit got pushed from front and back with no ill effects. There are a lot of things left to the Gm in 3rd. I personally think this is a bad call from the ref.

I am going to attempt to create a 3rd edition play video this weekend and try to showcase as much as possible of how it played. It may take a while.

I also agree that having a copy of 3rd, 6th, and 8th is essential to your Warhammer collection.
