Am I That Guy?
There are 3 ways to move Necron units in/before the 1st Turn: use Vargard, the C-Tan Deceiver, and the Veil of Darkness on the Cryptek Warlord to move the 3x6 Destroyer units into advantageous and surprise positions.
The Cryptek has a 6" RP aura due to his warlord trait, Vargard provides 6" reroll 1s to wound.

Place 2 Units of 6xDestroyers together at 11.9" supported by these 2 and you are hitting and generally wounding on 3s (rerolling 1s for both) and a further -1AP on the Gauss weapons...

Limited CP in this list, but use them for Extermination Protocols @1cp.
I don't think you need a lot of CP here as the units are fast movers with fly, great multi-damage weapons, great saves, multi-wound models - who can resurrect.

++ Outrider Detachment +1CP (Necrons) [59 PL, 985pts] ++

++ Total: [139 PL, 1,995pts] ++

Tomb Blade units for objectives, Hvy Destroyers as antitank, Doom Scythes as antiair and antitank.

3 units of 6 Destroyers in your face turn 1 should provide entertainment.
As the Cryptek Warlord is going with them, their Resurrection Protocols will be 4+.
They will reroll 1s to Hit and as Varrgard is a Lord, reroll 1s to Wound.

1st turn will also see the Doom Scythes, and the C-Tan (who will be anti-Character with Star God Fists and his Powers).

You havent heard of this tactic because it doesnt work. You need nemesor zahndrekh to use vargards ghostwalk mantle ability.

There you go. Thank you!

I can still drop the 2 units of Destroyers in.

I can redo the list to use a Night Scythe or just leave the 2 units in I guess. I haven't played it with Vargard yet.

Isn't the night scythe limited to beaming the units in at turn 2 and later? And even if it isn't, it is at the beginning of the movement phase.

Yes, units can only arrive on T2 from a night scythe or monolith, even though they count as disembarking from a transport, which normally can be done T1. Thats a rules problem with necrons which GW hasnt addressed yet.

TACTICAL RESERVES

Instead of being set up on the battlefield during Deployment, many units have the ability to be set up on teleportariums, in high orbit, in ambush,
etc., in order to arrive on the battlefield mid-game as reinforcements.
When setting up your army during Deployment for a matched play game, at
least half the total number of units in your army must be set up on the battlefield, and the combined points value of all the units you set up on the
battlefield during Deployment (including those that are embarked within Transports that are set up on the battlefield) must be at least half of your
army’s total points value, even if every unit in your army has an ability that would allow them to be set up elsewhere.
Furthermore, in matched play games, units that are not placed on the battlefield during deployment in order to arrive on the battle mid-game as
reinforcements cannot arrive on the battlefield during the first battle round.
Finally, any unit that has not arrived on the battlefield by the end of the third battle round in a matched play game counts as having been destroyed.

Invasion Beams
When you set up this model, at the same time you can also set up any number of friendly <DYNASTY> INFANTRY units on their tomb world rather than setting them up on the battlefield.Before this model moves in your Movement phase, a single friendly <DYNASTY> unit that was set up on their tomb world can be beamed onto the battlefield by the Night Scythe. Set up the unit so that it is wholly within 3" of this model and more than 1" from any enemy models; the unit that has just been set up counts as having disembarked from a transport for all rules purposes. If all <DYNASTY> Night Scythes and Monoliths are destroyed, any friendly <DYNASTY> units still on their tomb world are considered to be slain.

Tactical reserves says that units which arent set up on the battlefield cannot arrive on the battlefield during the first battle round. And they must be set up before the night scythe moves, which doesnt have to be at the start of the movement phase.

But the deceiver allows D3 units to be redeployed before the first turn, so the night scythe isnt needed, unless you roll a 1.

Yes, the Night Scythe is a backup and/or distraction if the Deceiver rolls bad.
I am also ok with it showing up turn2 at the place weakened by the other units.

If you put the unit in the night scythe it is not on the battlefield so the Deceiver can't redeploy it if I understand correctly. So you have to choose before you make the roll
