Very neat!

Out of interest it would be neat to see a comparison of gemstone styles - perhaps comparing to the gemstone paints that GW makes as well? This contrast method seems to work well and really broadens the colour choices one has to work with over the gemstone specific paints (which I think gw only has 3 of - though of course you can mix for different colours)

Thank You, I'm glad you found the video interesting.

As for demonstrating different ways of painting gemstones I do have two other videos in the playlist that show more conventional ways. I will be releasing a new tutorial thursday demonstrating the method you describe. I hope you check it out.
