Hi,
We are having a friendly competition with some co-workers both with experienced and new players. Every 2 weeks we increase 250 points and e organize several matches and points are awarded for participation, winning, optional matches, deportivity and quality and completion of the paint jobs of our armies. Great motivation to keep painting, regular games, and good fun.
I got my first 500 points of ultramarines finished a couple of weeks ago, but I was not able to take proper photos due to poor lighting. I got a good light for painting and I´m getting the chance for uploading this photos.
For every unit, I tried different technics and methods. With the intercessors I did for the first time my current color scheme and look, adding mud, wet blending, high contrast highlights, lenses, and battle damage.
With the scouts, I speeded up the process significantly and I worked on the golds and faces. With the Dreadnought, I took mi first try at non-metalic metals for the golds, and I am planning to do point object lighting for the plasma and the fire of the base.
For captain and bikes, I basically applied the same steps aiming for a good consistency and speeding up the process.
Next week involves agressors and a primaris lieutenant.

Gorgeous work - lovely bold style. I'm far too conservative in comparison - I love the gold armour plates on the dread.
Looking forward to seeing more

Your shading and highlighting on these are excellent! I'd say your NMM experiment on the dreadnought really worked out well. Looking forward to the further additions you'll be making!

Um, isn't styrene + gasoline = napalm?
More or less yes...Great, we've gone from cheap resin substitutes to weapons banned by the geneva convention...

Such a long time after my last update
Finally done wit ha big group of minis I was working on ,both for the league as for my personal enjoyment. I started a couple of weeks before lockdown, and with another unit of sniper scouts, that´s my progress so far. please give me any feedback about what to improve for the next group!
The pictures have a wierd filter on them where everything looks like it has big brush strokes. I think this is a way my phone copes with bad resolution, so I cant do aything about it other than say "it looks much better in person" XD
If anyone is interested on more pictures, here is the whole lot:

This is over 1000 points in one go:

Joining rest of the painted army:

Ancient
Really like this mini. Comes from the Marneus Calgar honor guard box, but I would use it as an ancient.

Techmarine
Another awesome figure.

Terminator librarian
This one has some history. The best piano teacher I had on school gifted it to me, and is called after him (Xavier). I painted it over 10 years ago, and now I have re-painted it to make him justice

Luietenants
Old chaos capes and space marine backs merge really well!. Both custom minis.

Le vehicles
Some on the league remember this guys
Fully magnetized, all options, and some engine glow. REally happy with the results, first vehicles of my army (dreadnought is more like a big character), and I think they look great, uper contrasty and highlighted, in style with the rest of the army.

6 aggressors
I had 3 painted, now 6. I was worried that the consistensy on the colourson the blending and highlighting was going to be noticeable between the first and second squad, but I am happy to see that I got them quite close.

Eliminators
Tech camo capes! I am quite happy with how they look after experimenting with them, and reading your feedback. Thanks!

Sargent Telion
Ultramarine Sniper HQ. Small conversion to make the weapon look better, and the cape was painted by old me 10 years ago. The rest is re-painted to make it look good with the rest of the army.
The 2 missile launcher scouts are for my scout units. No more heavy bolter proxys running as missile guys!
