We're a small miniature wargame company in Canada that have been working on developing a 36mm truescale skirmish wargame called Kingdom & Empire for the last three years. Our game predominantly features humanoid miniatures that are ~40mm tall, along with a number of large piloted magically powered mechanical suits of armour called Praetorians, which are typically around 80mm tall. A few months ago we announced the release of our first resin miniature, the Missionary MK II Praetorian.

Today we're pleased to announce the release of two additional miniatures: The Ravager Strike Praetorian and the Imperial Praetorian Pilot. Both miniatures are from the second core faction in our game, called the Ithican Empire. In our fictional setting, the Ithican Empire are a ruthless expansionist Empire that originated from bands of desert raiders in the interior wastelands of the Ithican continent. They embraced the use of magic as a basis of technological development akin to the effect the steam engine had on historical societies, and as a result we call their aesthetic 'magicpunk'. Their aesthetic is also influenced by them using psychological warfare and shock and awe tactics, and thus trying to inspire fear with their designs. Note that we've used contrast paint on both miniatures to help show the details on each miniature.

The Ravager Strike Praetorian is 7.7cm (3.03 inches) tall, which translates in game scale to an in-game height of about 11'-6" tall. It is formidably armed with a two-handed Praetorian sword and an arm mounted short-range Praetorian cannon. Pilots of this Praetorian are trained to fire their cannon while closing distance to charge the enemy. The cannon itself is a devastating anti-Praetorian weapon, but additionally the sound, smoke, and confusion its use creates fits in to the shock and awe battle doctrine of the Imperial Army. The Ravager Strike Praetorian is available for CAD $26 ($19.81 USD) plus shipping. Note there are additional pictures, including in plain resin, in the product listing.

To give you a better sense of how large Praetorians are compared to other miniatures, we took a picture of a couple of our professionally painted Preatorian miniatures next to a GW Dreadnought miniature. Note that this Ravager Strike Praetorian uses an alternate pose that we will be releasing as a production miniature in the future:

Imperial Praetorian Pilot is just under 4cm (1.57 inches) tall, which translates in game scale to an in-game height of about 6 feet tall. Imperial Pilots and the Ravager Strike Praetorians they pilot form the backbone of the Empire's military might. As such, being chosen for training as an Imperial Praetorian Pilot is a great honour in the Empire and elevates one's personal standing and the standing of their House within Imperial society.

Imperial Pilots are trained to make effective use of both short ranged and melee weapons, and in particular to combine those skills by attacking targets with their flintlock pistols before charging in with their sword to finish them off. This training is then carried over into their use of Ravager Strike Praetorians, which are equipped with both a two handed Praetorian sword and a large black powder Praetorian cannon. The Imperial Praetorian Pilot is available for CAD $13 ($9.91 USD) plus shipping. Note there are additional pictures, including in plain resin, in the product listing.

The rules are still in development and will be publicly available in beta form in the next few months, but we will continue releasing miniatures as we get them ready in the meantime. If you're interested in learning more about the game and/or the setting, you can check out the Kingdom & Empire section of our website.

Please let us know if you have any questions or comments.

Cheers,

You should have posted some pics of these without any paint on them. Need to see what they look like without any paint on them.

Those are some really nice models.

They look like they would be a lot of fun to paint.

I'm back!

Sure, we can post some pictures of both miniatures in unpainted resin. Here is the Ravager is plain resin. While the one in the pics is orange, customer versions are in grey resin.

And here is the Imperial Pilot:
