A lot of worry about losing Juves, we've known the 'prospects' were a thing for a year now from when they showed this. Do people think they have changed their mind since?

Not to mention they would have to be refundable and at significant portion of pre-orders would be cancelled when they release the next weeks pre-order goodness. The overstock potential would probably be even worse!

So, the Goliath Stimmer can take the twinned GLs or the axes that come in this box, or it can take a stub gun, a fighting knife, a two-handed axe, and/or a single- or paired spud-jacker(s), and the Forge-born can take a fighting knife and a stub gun, as well as the storm-welder or rocksaw that they come with.
You're just flat wrong in saying they can't take weapons that weren't in the box.
Man id love it if he were right, all those weapon options actually available, targetting scopes for all the guns, different models for each gang to show carapace armour and such. What a time that would be. Of course he is wrong and just in a sulk, otherwise my Ganger could take the chainsword that is in the FW weapon pack, but he cant unless i make him a champion. This is such a good book!
Love the escher models, people will make some great conversions with them. I had a feeling bows might come for them, they look cool and as sensible (not sensible) as majority of other weapon options, whips? yeah good luck using those in confined tangled mess of the underhive.
regarding weapon packs? Im hoping we will get more, specifically to address some of the gaps listed above (and the combi bolter-grenade launcher!).

They're probably resin, along side weapon pack for the new Goliath models. with weapon like Brute cleaver, missile launcher, multi melta...
I am confident new weapons coming for Goliath. This article was the first (or second?) monthly update. The guy who writes it was on the GW stream last week (Aeronautic stream, but he does all these new articles) saying how he had been hunting round trying to get new stuff approved to show people for each article, so I can imagine the Eschers options were chosen/teased as they tied in with the release from GAMA. Looking forward to what we seen next month in this series of articles.

Good find, guess that was from GAMA. Do we have a predicted date for these yet?

Top tip for the current (new) style flight stands.
The top of the stand and the recipient location on the model have matching shape, but superglue over paint never works so mask the area before priming and leave it masked until you glue to the stand, then go back and paint the area around where the stand has been glued.
If you want an even more secure connection, a 1mm drill bit can drill into the stand and model, with a bit of paperclip to pin together before glueing.
I went through the pain everyone has with my kharadron army (models massively front heavy vs stand location) and these were the solutions that stop stands breaking off even when models get knocked off tables onto hard floors.
To improve the look of the base connection i have also snipped the stand at the mid point and pinned to some strategically placed scenery / tactical rock or pinned directly to the base in a recess and hid the join with some sump appropriate sludge / nurgles rot paint.

... But yeah, I don't assign much credibility to someone working for free product. I'd give more credit to people who bought a game with their own money, invested time and can provide candid feedback.
Well i know of a one person who built 'communities' and spent a lot of time and money writing or recording reviews in the hope of getting onto the free product list. Didnt trust their opinion at all when they paid for stuff or got it free. That was shilling, but its pretty obvious.
Like everything, independent or 'free review copy' you have to judge that review and person on their merits. Personally I see what else they have reviewed and how I agree with those past comments. You also need to take your opinions about details and compare against the reviewers thoughts.
For Ash wastes the most detailed review ive watched was by the guy from Sump City radio. He went into great detail, sumarising the mechanics of the new ways to play etc.
I really liked the review and his summary was it is a great box. Personally tho i dont think he really reviewed the box, but its the rules he reviewed and i think everything he said about those will be correct. If you want to play it now then yeah the box is great, it has the rules, dice, tokens, etc. that you will need and wont be available separate for some time.
Is the total box good value? yes if you want both gangs anyway and more terrain. But really thats not the tough ask, you are buying into a game system that will require you to buy the gang book, the new vehicle book when it comes out, probably more different vehicles or extra gangers. Basically its £180 (£135 3rd party) plus another £100 if you want to keep playing that game as it expands. The alternative is buying rules, dice and aftermarket tokens when they eventually come out, but that will be at least £50 if not more.

I can understand not wanting to fill rule books up with generic stuff when Necromunda has great scope to make gang specific vehicles. Tho why people were assuming the rulebook included in a boxed set would include rules for stuff not it that set is confusing, as that has not happened in a 'Necromunda 2017' set yet? That was always in gang war books.
Generic stuff (specifically repurposed 40k models, much of which isnt actually generic as most people are talking about stuff with Genestealer crew models anyway) will almost certainly come out in WD over the next 12 months anyway.

As always US price based on GW online store as US price list releases later in the day
Hmmm €85 is an exchange rate price rise as it used to be £65 was €80.
Ahahahahahahaha
That's like double the price per sprue compared to what Sector Machanicus is priced even in individual piece boxes.
Eat gak, GW. Luckily I picked up a whole second Ash Wastes terrain set for 50€
Yep, we saw it with the new 40k terrain. Around £15-20 per sprue. These new Necro habs at £47.50 look to give you 3 big sprues. ~£16 a sprue, whereas before it was typically under £10 for sector mechanicus and imperialis. Its a hefty rise to put terrain on a equivalent, or nearer, cost for an amount of plastic.
GW unit boxes are basically a big sprue folded in half to fit, in 40k equivalent a Primaris marine box is £36 for 4 'half' sprues, (£18 per big sprue). For Necromunda gangs a box is £28 for 2 half sprues (1 big sprue). But at least with gangs you only need 1/2 boxes.
I certainly wont be going full into new terrain now as i have enough older stuff. Mechanicus stuff felt cheap and I didnt mind, ZM stuff didnt stretch as far and started to get pricey quick. Ash wastes is going to be as expensive for an 'enough to be interesting but not bland' table. A tough position for new players tho. It used to be the saying that terrain was a 3rd army on the table, it used to be affordable but really is the case now if army OR terrain for majority of folks.
