I was looking for the old thread where someone asked about the colors used in an old WD photo of Armageddon steel legion tanks. Someone chimed in about talking to the guy who painted the tanks and he claimed he used bone color spectrum. Anyways. I could not find the thread to bring it back to life.

I do finally have a sure answer.

The guy was right. It was bone spectrum for the light color. GW just retouched the image. I was flipping through an older White Dwarf and saw the same tanks but in a different picture/game setup, an old apoc game 5th edition era. It had the same tanks as well as others and an eldar phantom titan with bone colored gun barrels.

The tanks were indeed BONE and GREY. They actually look bone colored in the picture I found so.. there ya go.

Consummate 8th Edition Hater.
