I saw this snippet from the cancelled 2010 Star Wars live action show "Underworld" while the IP was still under Lucas. I found the tech showcased in this recently released preview and making of video to be pretty impressive especially given the 2010 technology. And, yes, that stormtrooper shootout at the end has marksmanship (unintentionally?) bad enough to be a space Naked Gun parody missing only Jedi Master Frank Dreven!

When you're watching the beginning, it looks a bit janky like a mid-tier budget video game cutscene (remember... 2010 tech!) but the key is to wait until the halfway point when they show how the actors were really filming against a green screen and that the effects were added in real time as they were filming (if you look at the video screen on the camera being used). That's pretty awesome! I had heard that Lucasfilm had apparently used another effect on the Mandalorian show where instead of adding the effects in camera and having the actors on a green screen that they instead have large projection screens that add the effects to the actual stage background in real time. For those interested, here is the source for that more recent tech:

It doesn't seem like anyone else is impressed with this technology other than me but just in case here is an ILM video describing the new tech they used in the Mandalorian.
