Hey guys, just wanted to share my Imperial Knights I finished a little while ago. I had posted them on Instagram (@knight.in.acrylic.armour) so feel free to check them (and other stuff) out on there too.

I used a few new techniques I had never tried before. Namely Typhus Corrosion and weathering powder. I'm happy with the result!

Enjoy!

If anyone wants to know what colours I used, or how I did a thing, just ask! I'd be happy to share with you

What did you use to create the dirt and grime on the armour plates? I really like how subtle it is. Really top job overall too!

Yeah, those are glorious. The weathering is excellent and subtly done.

So for the dirt/grime it's pretty much all Typhus Corrosion. The blue plating was much brighter before I started and it concerned me a little (I can upload a pic later on, but there's plenty on my IG too if youre curious). Turned out well enough though!

Anyway, I put a healthy coating of Typhus Corrosion (henceforth known as TC) all over the plate, then used my finger/cotton swab to work it into the armour, making sure that I get in all the cracks because if you don't, you'll have an unnatural gap between the armour trim and the TC. Make sure when youre doing this that you go in a natural direction (ie up and down) to help with streakiness. Once that is all done, I painted (using TC) tiny streaks coming off of some parts like the chips and some of the trim.

I finished it off with some weathering powder in the lower bits of the trim and such to simulate the accumulation of dust and the like.

Thanks everyone for your interest and kind words! I'm happy you like them!
