Trying to find a colour scheme for my Talarnesses.

It should be quick to paint (a hundred models or more) and being immediately recognisable as desert style.

I more or less settled on contrast paints.
Aggaros Dunes for jackets.
Skeleton Horde for trousers.
Militarum for shoulder pads.
Snakebite for everything leather.

Not sure about weapons, black or Basilicanum over Silver, headwear/belts white or dark grey and accessories gold or silver/Basilicanum.
Usually I use different colours on the weapon, silver/Basilicanum for metal, black for the grip and Camo green or Militarum for the rest.
The models are prototypes to test the different variants. There is no Varnisj yet, so they look a bit glossy.

The models have bases under their bases to give them the same height over ground as the models in the background, which are on movement trays.
Those models in the background look probably smaller, because they are. They are Ratlingesses or whatever the females of Ratlings are called. They are probably a head smaller than other models, but just as "wide" and "deep". This gives them a stocky look. To underline the smaller height I made their weapons a bit larger than usual. Talking about weapons, I will make the weapons a bit more prominent on the Talarness models.

I dig this. Going to try for something similar myself. Will let you know how it goes!

Printed some more Talarnesses. In total there will be 10 different poses - 9 Troopers + Sergeant. Some of the poses will be used for Special Weapon Troopers as well.
Here is the latest batch of prints. The models have just been washed (ipa and water, not colour), some supports broke while doing so.

I use a dlp printer, so I print three models at once without any time penalty. A print of three models takes about 2 hours give or take some minutes depending on model height. The resolution is x/y/z 30µm. The green resin photographs badly. The plasma gun on the very right might be the best object to judge resolution.
