Hey everybody, I'm starting an Iron Warriors warband called the Bronze Defilers and, as the name suggests, I want their main armor color to be a deep, metallic bronze. I can't really think of any good accent/trim colors that would fit with that though. For some extra background the Defilers reject the regular Iron Warriors attitude towards the Chaos Gods and dark Warp magic and openly use them to corrupt machines into hideous daemonic engines of war. Any suggestions (for the colors or army lore or units or whatever really, but mainly colors) are very much appreciated, thanks!

either a bright green or red would work well imo.
if you're going to add verdigris, then go for red.

Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!

Blue goes well with bronze. Might end up looking like Night Lords, though...

A little bit of righteous anger now and then is good, actually. Don't trust a person who never gets angry.

I think it depends on what parts you want to paint a different colour. For the trim on the shoulderpads and armour plates, either leave them bronze, paint them a bright silver as an inverse Iron warriors scheme, or maybe black?
For plasma, eyes etc., a green or red would be good, as for tentacles and other weird chaos fleshy bits, a pale flesh colour or a purple would work I think.

A good strategy if you're unsure is to just experiment on your models yourself. (Using very thin layers so you can go over them later).

Bronze is orange. Blue is its direct compliment. If your bronze is dark and muted you can add more contrast by making the blue more vibrant.

These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.
