Trying to follow his video while sick with the flu, probably not the best time but it takes my mind off things.

Wanted to go deeper and work on new techniques for my 80s Dark Eldar. After watching Marco's video I decided to give it ago.

Not done yet. Still in progress, I am done blocking in the Magenta and the leather-though the leather needs work I am rethinking it.

All brush work, except for priming.

Still sick, can't believe this. 3 weeks of hell. Anyways got some time in where I was up to painting.

Refined things a bit, cleaned up a bit, got the gold down and shaded.
Finished the silver on the blades. I must have painted them ten times till I was satisfied with the TMM look.

Completed at long last. Sick house, sick kids, 5 weeks of fun.

I experimented with several methods and adjusted them as I went. It was fun using the non-airbrush value sketching to generate gradients. They turned out nice. I like them. Not perfect but I think the goal was achieved.
I kind of wish the Raider was done in this style as I intend to use it for the rest of the dark eldar models. I used true metallic metal work on the helmet visors and the blades. I really liked it. The rest was painted in washes over a black and white value sketch for the most part. Some Contrast Paints used.

Open for criticisms of the method. I know I cut a few corners here and there but the overall feel I think hits home the idea.
