Hey does anyone know what this things battlefield role is? I can't really see anything on the GW website or in the codex. I'm happy to be wrong of course though. I'm getting ready to put transfers on him so I'd really appreciate the help! Thanks

I would think a giant battle frame mounting heavy weapons would be heavy support.

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

I always assumed units from the space marine elites section represented a mix of two of the other roles. The Invictor represents both heavy support with its fire power and fast attack with its mobility and deployment options.

If you are planning on putting a transfer on, you should pick the one that most reflects the roll you’re using it for. If the suit is infiltrating with the flamer weapon it’s probably more of a fast attack option. If you’re using the autocannon to support your infantry it’s more of a heavy support option.

As I see it, they occupy a similar kind of role as Sentinels, but are Dreadnought-y, so I'd personally put them as Fast Attack (Close Support) or Elites.

I think Close Support makes the most sense as a designation, given it's scouting role and infiltration abilities - while it *has* long range capabilities, like Land Speeders, it's a close ranged beast at heart, I think.

They/them

I'm gonna infer that its close support from the codex:

"deployed in every capacity, from armoured escort to close-range siege breakers and urban monster-hunts."

"This combination of mid-to close range firepower, armoured resilience, and selfless mindset..."
