Me and a coworker were debating today whether the Bad Moons "Re-roll hit rolls of 1 for attacks made by models with this kultur in the Shooting phase." counters the effect of the Kustom Mega-blasta's "If you roll one or more hit rolls of 1, the bearer suffers a mortal wound after all of the weapon's shots have been resolved".

example: in the shooting phase I roll a 1 to hit but using the re-roll I manage to get a 5.

will the initial roll of 1 still deal a wound to the model or does the re-roll completely replace the initial roll?

When you reroll a dice, it is as if the original roll never existed. You do not suffer the mortal wound.

A hit roll is after rerolls and modifiers. So, if you roll a 1, and you can reroll it, and you get a 5, no MW.

that's what i was hoping for because i planned to use the Kustom Mega-blasta to give my Deff Dreads some anti-armour dakka.
