I'm quite possibly too dumb to find the relevant passage: can Bullgryns, Astropaths, Techpriests etc. that can be taken by normal IG regiments without loosing their regimental doctrines be put into a Death Korps detachment without loosing battleforged? I assume yes, as Death Korps is still Astra Militarum, but I'm not sure.

On another note just to gather some personal opinions: would you be ok with an IG detachment being played as Death Korps ruleswise even if it does not look a bit like gasmasked trenchfighters? I have some feral/feudal soldiers whose fluff would be well reflected by Death Korps rules (fearless, melee oriented, with cavalry) but they look quite different.

No. What AM units can be used for DKOK is listed on pg.55 of the FW imperial armor index of the forces of the astra militarum, additional units are found in the FAQ update 1.7. Without going into detail, its only vehicles.

WYSIWYG is not a rule. I would be ok with that.

Also (currently) DKOK don't use the same system. You can mix in non-DKOK units and still keep the bonuses for the DKOK units just fine.

Nothing to add to the above answers.
However, love the theme, good models, I'd be happy to have that army on my table.

Keeping the hobby side alive!

I never forget the Dakka unit scale is binary: Units are either OP or Garbage.

@ BaconCatBug: Interesting. But I want to add that detachment to my normal "Tallarn" detachment, so I would prefer to tick every box necessary to stay battleforged.
I mainly asked because I want to bring more elites than allowed in the Tallarn detachment and considered where to put them. If they can't go into the DK battalion I guess they will be a "We are the odd ones" Vanguard detachment of Ratlings, Ogryn Bodyguards and Astropaths led by a Primaris Psyker. May even be funny to think up a little story for that bunch.

@ edwardmyst and p5freak: thanks for the opinions. I guess I will go for it then.
