I am currently otherwise engaged out and about. But question has arisen.

I am 99% sure I have read either in CA19 or BrB. A designers note, the itallics on the left of the page I think that when drawing LoS it's not meant to be drawn to banners, arials etc.

Someone got the books at hand and able to assist?

That's part of the Kill Team rules.

The Designer's Commentary for 40K states that 'turrets, sponsons, aerials, banners, spikes etc' are not considered the hull when measuring to and from vehicles that lack bases, but it does not say anything about this in regards to LOS.

yep my squads get wiped out on a regular basis, because the squad leaders have halabard point upwards, and the paladins and draigo have back banners making them as high as a dreadnought. I wish you couldn't hit those.

If you have to kill, then kill in the best manner. If you slaughter, then slaughter in the best manner. Let one of you sharpen his knife so his animal feels no pain.

your mind

40k needs homebrewery skillz.

I won't play unless the opponent agrees that common sense apllies to line of sight and targeting. 8th ed rules are bad enough without unrealistic targeting mechanics. I mean with such lame cover in this edition why not get rid of all the terrain and models and play the card game that has become the heart of 40k instead?
