So I was cleaning my garage looking for some uniforms and such in preparation for drill, and I found some print offs I had made off of GW's site during the 6th/7th Ed. era. One of them was a scenario that we never got around to playing. Well, now's as good a time as ever, right?

Nice report!

I was expecting the lizards to win. Their shooting is strong, especially against no armour units. Thought you had a chance to replicate with magic, but that got shut down fast too (cube can be nasty).
Overall, putting all into one type of unit isn't great. Beatsmen have tools to counter skirmishers/small/fast armies. Chariots+ambush is a very powerful combination! I think lore of slaanesh works well with them, to mess up movement combined with fast-moving ambushing units to have optimal positioning. Once engaged, they do fine.

I'm in the process of getting new models, right now that's all I own. And I've always fancied a Minotaur army and favored Tzeentch, even before the OP Power Dice thing.

I guess full minotaurs+tzeentch can be very powerful, especially against more static foes. But mass shooting+skirmishing is simply a bad match-up. Rock paper scissors type.

To be fair I had NO IDEA what I was going to be facing. Between us we own 5 WFB armies currently, with a 6th on the back burner thanks to being given the Island of Blood plastics by a fellow soldier, so it was sort of a pot luck combined with not really having a modular collection in the first place.
