Does anyone happen to know a good source of plastic minis for French and Indian wars games?

Warlord does metal? I could have sworn I had a sprue or two of plastic woodland natives that was from Warlord in my bits box.

Like you found, Warlord has repackaged old Wargames Foundry miniatures in new boxes. Unfortunately their European troop boxes won't work, but the Indians and Colonial Militia troops from their AWI range can be used for FIW.

Warlord recently released a bunch of FIW stuff but, alas, it's all metal. Cool sculpts though.
