Hi

Can you use bonesinger and his ability in a ynnari detachment?
I'm at work and don't have my books on me...

Yes. though the Bonesinger loses access to regular Eldar spells and would have to take Ynnari spells.

Also, the Bonesinger has been classified as "Legends" and may not be allowed in many organised events (though contrary to popular belief, Legends is still 100% matched-play legal otherwise).

Are you talking about his Path of the Shaper rule?

Why wouldn't it work. is there something I am missing?

Path of the Shaper is used "instead of attempting to manifest any psychic powers". (note the word any there).

Why would it be a power when it does not follow any of the Psychic rules?

Latest version of the rules are in the Legends PDF, although they look identical the source may matter in a tournament, etc.

They aren't identical. They have different categories (elites vs. HQ) and different point costs (cost on the Legend sheet vs the CA2019 cost for bonesingers - it looks like there's a tax on taking an HQ slot).

Im looking to run him in the next tournament that allows legends so just covering all my bases and triple-checking I haven't missed anything.
