When were the first rules for Typhus printed for 40k? Was it 3rd edition or did he get some love in one of the WDs back in 2nd edition? I'm asking as some guys hereabouts are starting up some 2nd edition games and I have a bunch of PMs of the era and I'd like to run Typhus alongside them. There seem to be a few characters missing from that era that are better established now and a couple I wouldn't have thought went back that far, to be honest.

Anyways, anyone got some solid info on this dude?

This line of reasoning broke 7th edition in Fantasy. The books should be as equal as possible, even a theoretical "Codex: Squirrels with Crustacean allies" should have a fair chance to beat "Codex: God".

First introduction to Typhus I have is in the what's commonly referred to as the Chaos codex 3.5, released in 2002. Typhus gets a full page dedicated to him as a new character, along with a sweet illustration of him gettin' his reap on with some poor Cadian. There might have been an introduction to him in White Dwarf a bit prior to the codex as a promo, but I doubt it. He's not in the first 3rd edition codex (1999)
