Hi all,

Been away from the hobby for at least 15 years, maybe more - Archaon was still riding a horse back then! Randomly stumbled onto some painting tutorials on youtube and it made me want to dip my toes into the water again. Picked up some Kabalite Warriors yesterday and so am starting a new journey into the hobby. Came here to ask questions/pick up tips and (eventually) show some pics of my miniatures.

Welcome aboard!

If you’re just starting your collection, you might be interested in Kill Team. Most factions can play with just a single box of models, and I personally find the game more interesting than regular 40k.

As for current painting tips, Contrast paint is a lot of fun, but not necessarily high-end quality. That said, Contrast over metallics is absolutely a winner for making coloured metallics. Super easy and looks awesome!

Welcome to Dakka
