Title says it. I just finished building two more Vypers (no clue how long I have had them, decades maybe) and looking at the rear "turret". It seems a bit flimsy left unglued. Anyone have thoughts?
I never glue leman russ turrets, but these seem far more fragile and wonky.

I think I left both of my vypers unglued. The base of the rear gun mount is snug enough in the hull that it doesn’t move, and the cradle the gunner sits in isn’t an issue for the most part. One had the gun glued down, the other is magnetized.

Overall I have a few guidelines that determine what gets glued.
One is transport and storage. Turrets are left loose not just to pivot towards their targets, but also so they can fit in the thinner KR foam trays.
Another is options. Just by not glueing the top hatch on a rhino, it can be turned into a razorback.
Last is aesthetics. Sure, it might seem silly, but I like the ability to point guns at things. Helps bring the battlefield alive, especially if the camera comes out.

Thanks Nevelon. We seem to be on the same page. Leaving as is until it proves a problem.

Agreed the rear mount is pretty snug, if anything its a bit "too" snug if you want to move it around during battle for dynamic fighting.

I think you could cut the base insert off and fit it with a magnet of the same size and it would have a good hold which would be more practical if you want to rotate things.

However I think if you're never ever ever wanting to rotate the seat its easier just to put a blob of glue on it and call it done.
