i'd personally skip the powerfists. Chainaxes are one off the best options incidentally because they are cheap and do decent enough work.

I'd go more for 4 chainaxes and a PF (if need be) on the champion beause the bonus attack on him counters the -1 to hit modifyer from the fist.

Yeah, that makes sense. However having checked, unfortunately the box only comes with 2x power axes. it's actually quite restrictive in what can be used....

Tbh, the power axe and maul are decent options, also because they are cheaper then fists or claws. (claws i am split, on one side they are reliable on the other side they pay imo tad too much for them.)

THat said, with a bit off willingness and a sharp knife you can turn CSM squad chainswords as count as Chainaxes if need be.

Also, it's not restrictive, it's just that gw thought we needed even more Fences for spikes.

Also, to add on to this there is no rule on WYSWYG (unless of course im wrong or it has been updated.). Tourn's may enforce such a rule however. But in casual games this should not stop you. But for ease of the game, you should probably make the loadout universal through the unit. So just state before the game that your units all run chain axes and use powermauls for the model.

Spoiler:

Granted i have it easy, since these are a bunch of space pirates.
