Hi,

I'm new to Warhammer 40k, I've recently purchased a space marine starter set along with paints etc. I'm collecting the Ultramarines and I'm unsure whether I'll need the space marine codex or the Ultramarine one.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Hi, welcome to the game, as for what codex you need, you'll want the basic space marine codex, the Ultramarine one is a codex supplement, that you'll proably want too, but if money's tight, you can hold off/skip getting it. it simply includes some supplemental rules that can be added onto your codex as well as contains rules for the Ultramarines specific characters

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two
