I'm not particularly fond of the round, layered building used to mount the boom/counter-jib and cab. Does anyone know a toy or model that has a boom large enough to either fit under the crane's foundation or between it and the cab?

Is anyone familiar with HO scale crane kits? With everything shut down, I can't exactly go out to hobby stores and compare kits.

Are there other alternatives that would look good with the GW part of the kit?

How big does the block underneath the crane have to be? (length and width).

I'm working on a modular set of gantry terrain. Will take a while as I'm experiencing a bit of a rush and I'm not working longer than necessary at the moment. Here's a WIP print.

For a mast that sits under the foundation, it will need to be as wide as a single square building from the AT terrain kit or 1¼" x 1¼" square.

For a mast that sits between the foundation and the boom, it should be around ¾" inch, either squared or round.

Hope that helps.

Hmm, I was wondering if something like this might then work. The block is about 1/2" x 1/2" square. The top bit (on which the gun rests) is a fraction more than a 1/4" x 1/4" (about 0.28" x 0.28" if you want to get specific).
