Ok, so last night I wanted to see a godzilla movie, especially after how ghawdawful KOTM was...
I searched the net for online godzilla movies and found a site with a lot of them on it, apparently right out in the open so I assumed it was legal.
I picked "Godzilla vs. Biolante". (Usually pronounced bio LAHN tay.)
It's a surprisingly good godzilla movie given how overlooked it is, I don't know why it gets so little attention.
It's not a typical godzilla movie. For starts it begins immediately after the events in godzilla 1985. It literally begins with people searching for the wreck of the super x "jet" that fought godzilla in G1985 while Tokyo is still burning, and some pieces of godzilla's skin blown off in the battle are found. This triggers a genetic arms race as various factions are interested in studying, using or weaponizing godzilla's DNA for various purposes. ()Hey, if something like godzilla existed you know everyone with a test tube and microscope would be figiting to get a sample of it's dna to study, right? So the overall plot is believable.)
Naturally as a side effect of this a new monster is created that is part godzilla, part human and part rosebush. (No, not a late april fool's joke.)
It's a pretty smart godzilla movie with a relatively deep plot, for a godzilla movie. I'd recommend it for a B movie fan stuck at home and looking for something to watch.

All Godzilla movies are worth watching.
Some just require more alcohol than others...

Some require too much alcohol. Godzilla vs. the pollution monster comes to mind.

Loved the Smog Monster one as a kid!
Haven't seen it since I was a kid though...
The 'Heisei' era and the 'Millennium' era are fun, and I enjoyed the recent two USA versions as well.
No alcohol needed either!

Rewatching it as an adult is painful.

It’s not Godzilla playing tennis with a lobster bad.

If you are over 13 years old mentally and you drink enough alcohol to make "Godzilla's revenge" watchable, you will certainly DIE!

I keep trying to find a copy of Godzilla versus Spacegodzilla. I have seen nearly all Godzilla movies, but not this one. I understand it follows Godzilla vs. Biollante??
My 5yo son and 3yo daughter LOVE my old Godzilla movies and toys.

I was watching godzilla vs biolante on an apparently legal site for free, maybe they're opening their library during the quarantine, i think it had GvsSG too. You should be able to find it. I don't want to post a link in case it's not legal, even tho it's right in the open, and it got the board in trouble.
Here is a 100% legal review of it by one of the better reviewers on FB you might want to see. https://youtu.be/di9BWI3coNo
BTW if followed godzilla vs mechagodzilla.
Had to edit this a lot to get the link to work for some reason. Oops it was a period too close to the link.
