I was playing a guy, and he said they only come back if one in the unit stays alive. He wiped out the unit, so he said they can't come back.
Is this correct?
"At the start of your Movement phase, you can select one friendly GEMINAE SUPERIA unit within 3" of this model. If that unit contains a model that has lost any wounds, that model regains its lost wounds. Otherwise, if a model from that unit has been destroyed, you can return it to the battlefield with 2 wounds remaining, placing it within 3" of this model and in unit coherency (if the model cannot be placed in this way, it is not returned to the battlefield)."
If the unit is wiped out, it can't be brought back.
The ability only works if Celestine is within 3" of the unit. How do you measure to a unit that has been destroyed? The reasoning for the wording of the rule is to prevent a unit with multiple wounded models in it.
In short:
If the unit has 2 unwounded models: Nothing happens
If the unit has 1 wounded, 1 unwounded model: The wounded one gets healed to full.
If the unit has 1 unwounded, 1 dead model: The dead one comes back to life.
If the unit has 1 wounded, 1 dead model: The wounded one gets healed to full.
If the unit has 2 dead models: Nothing can happen as you cannot measure the distance of 3" to the unit from Celestine.
