Hi everybody

In summer of 1936 the Spanish Navy was the eighth world naval power, with 2 battleships, 4 cruisers, 15 destroyers and 12 submarines. Following the nation's fate, the Navy was also split in two. War at sea was mostly long and hard convoy warfare blockade, counter-blockade and a few naval suface actions (like the sinking of the Baleares heavy cruiser). Anyway, much like on land, both sides fought with equal valor at sea."

Mar Rojo (Red Sea, the name of a merchant ship that was part of both navies) is an exciting, fast-paced card battle game for one or two players about the Spanish Civil War at sea.

Each player begins with five cards in the hand and a fleet of 12-5 ships. The object of the game is try to sink the enemy warships while the own merchant ships arrive at secure harbour.

The game is actually in Kicstarter:

Not surprising as there was one significant engagement during the war, the Battle of Cape Palos, featuring not even a dozen ships.

On parle toujours mal quand on n'a rien à dire.

During the SCW about 30 ships were sunk by war actions (mines, submarine actions, torpedoes, cannon fire, shore battery fire, air bombing); a battleship, a heavy cruiser, three destroyers, two gunboat and more than 20 merchant ships (Russia lost 10 merchant ships).
