The Townbuilder Kickstarter wraps in four days.

A free demo of the Beta is available now - and is a lot of fun to play with.
And, because I can't think of how to port over a proper image of the Kickstarter page...

It reminds me a whole lot of the creation kit for the Elder Scrolls games - building elements that can be put together to create an entire building.

This is the excuse my wife and I have been waiting for before getting a 3D printer.

This is very complicated, but I backed. Very innovative product that has the potential to create tons of value for me.

I wouldn't mind backing it either but I'm totally lost as to what's what (and I'm still irritated I didn't just pledge when it started and I had the chance for the super early bird).

What level gets me the steampunk stuff? That's what I'm most interested in.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Also very tempted by this...and now only about 18 hours to decide - yikes!

Definately one of the most confusing kickstarters ever. I have backed a lot of 3D printing stuff but with this I have no idea where it is going. Seems like you buy into a tier and then gotta still pay for some or all files later?

I think the journey man level is the sweet spot that gets you the stretch goal models, but I have no real idea.
I think the Master level pledge is if you really want to go nuts in the builder.

From text at the top of the campaign page:
"Basic (included everywhere)

1) Stone 2) Fachwerk 3) Shingled Roofs

Premium (Journeyman and above)

1) Sewers and Caves 2) Steampunk

Stretch Goals (Journeyman and above)

1) Castles 2) Druidic 3) Ruined for Basic Sets 4) Feudal Asian (most likely)

Collaborations: (included everywhere)

1) Skies of Sordane - Airship Ports.

2) Fog Machine - Fog tiles.

Add Ons:

1) SciFi (15€)

2) More Airports (8€)*

Sounds like I want Journeyman. I totally had the chance at the super early bird pledge too.

Steampunk airports could be a lot of fun, especially as I backed Skies of Sordane.

Even better if they end up with a feudal Asian set!

My wife and I went fot the Master - mostly for larger linked projects.

As my wife put it:
I like big builds and I cannot lie,
You other builders can't deny...

She... had to explain that to me - I had forgotten that song, or at least blotted it out of my memory....

Not coincidentally, we also backed the Creality CR 6 SE 3D printer KS.... https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1001939425/creality-cr-6-se-leveling-free-diy-3d-printer-kit/description

The Auld Grump - each justifies the other....
