God my imperial fist up n running and slowly buying what models i can. Was wondering how good Invictor Tacticaly Warsuits were? I'm planning on running 2 and then a squad of Infiltrators either to quick grab objectives or a distraction carnifex. I thought about running just 3 Redemptor Dreadnoughts and ill have 2 on the sideliens for sure, but Tac-Suits just seem interesting? idk havent seen too many players run them. Also are either of the two (excluding Crimson fists) named HQ units worth it? Tor has a 3+ invlun and looks like he could threaten a Titan.

Don't run warsuits. They're fragile and either get killed T1 or just get nothing accomplished then die anyways. The main army I run is a "gatekeeper" army(Chaos Knights) and I have zero issues with killing them quickly. Even my World Eaters do t have an issue with them.
My point being, they're not even good distraction units. They die to easy. You'd be better served using Contemptors or deredeos.

The Invictor Warsuits is one of the best units in the codex. I would never advise someone to ignore them outright.
High risk, high reward but they are Cheap.

See the way i see it if you focus even a little on them you ignore my (holy gak many) intercessors. I think my list depends pretty heavily on getting turn 1 and hoping that if i don't the Infiltrators/Warsuits are hididen well enough that my opponent is forced to deal with them.

Magnetize them. That way you can try out both options.

I plan on it for them and the dreadnoughts so far. The Intercessors will remain with their stalker bolt rifles, and ive got like ....5 5 man groups of intercessors no point in magnetizing them or the thunderfire canons.or any of the HQ units .....pretty much all my side board and my dreadnoughts and when i feel like investing into the Repulsors/Land Raider those will be magnetized. Also Im coming from an Ad-Mech background so i'm not REALLY used to ...options? Why are there like 6 Land Raiders and 8 Dreadnoughts? And which Land Raider is worth it?

None of them. Not a single Land Raider varient is worth the price.
The Invictor isn't any softer than a Predator in practice, although neither of them holds up to any concentrated fire. Not that much of anything holds up to any concentrated fire...
I can't envision a scenario that would make the flamer a good choice, the real value of the Invictor is that it's a solid long-range shooting piece that an opponent can't just neuter by tri-pointing.

Being able to deploy 9” away from the opponent, with a 12” double HF and a powerfist seems the best use IMHO. High risk, as if you go second, they are toast. But if you go first, you can roast some chaff and then plow in to tie stuff up and crump heads. I might look elsewhere for backfield firepower.
I’m not sure if ‘FIsts can leverage any really nasty tricks with them, but some other chapters can.
Points are reasonable for what you get.
