Hey guys,
I just finished my test model. What do you think of it.
My idea was an order that protects and keeps the pilgrimage routes to holy terra open.
So,i thought of ancient pilgrims in medieval times and came up with a paint scheme of browns and faded white.

I see what you're going for, though I can't help thinking that the model would stand out more if there was some brighter colours. Say a brighter white on the armour, or a red bolter.

Good point, i actually thought about red bolters ( cuz they are cool ) but thought they would stick out to much from the muted pallet, I used.
But i might paint my second sister with a red bolter to compare.
Edit: i also Already use a Bright green spotcolour for the eyes and mini screens on the backpack.
Another idea i had was to paint the gold in non metallic gold. So it would contrast more with the armour.

Nice job, I like her humble and gritty style. Given the theme I dont really think you need more bright colours.
If you must have spot colour, perhaps some svererd bodyparts on the base with bright blood splatter, but blood allways risk coming out looking tacky.

My second sister:
- I added a brighter gold for some more contrast
- added some blue in the mix for the stormbolter
I think this added some more contrast, without changing to much of what i like .

Looks very cool. Great colors on the armor and clothes. Also the highlights are good
