Subject: Gorkanaut or Morkanaut?

I'm planning on build one of each of these walkers for my collection at some point but I'm wondering which one to start with. I did a search for what people liked more but most of the posts I've found have been from 7th edition.
Which do you like more? why?
thanks!

I built the Morkanaut because I like the mek weaponry. I modified mine a bit adding a dedicated mek model and magnetized force field generator and some mekkie grot hangers on for kicks... anyways I tend to ignore rules and Mathhammer idiocy. Just build the kit that you like. My advice.

Sounds like fun, care to share a picture?
I like the idea of Mek Grots hanging off the vehicle.

Why would you have to choose? Magnetize the guns and have both!

Both, it's easy to magnetize, only the main gun and the KFF needs any work, the gun on the belly can be switched without magnets. If you are interested, I can upload pictures showing how I did. That way you can just play whatever you feel like. You also protect yourself from having to shelf one of them if GW messes up the rules for one or the other.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe. |

I mean, as others said they're pretty easy to magnetize. If you don't want to, I would say morka.
Reason being, both work but the morka tends to be more of an army lynchpin, walking up with your troops and sitting on the board. The best use for a gorka hands down is deep striking it and using it as a wrecking ball, which means it appears on the board turn 2, does CRAZY damage, and generally dies in yoru opponent's next turn.
Both effective, morka more satisfying IMO.

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"
"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"
"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"
"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!" |

Thank you, I do actually want to build one of each. I admit I want them more for the fun of building them than actually playing with them. The reason for this thread is that while they aren't really a part of my army I will still want to use them from time to time and would prefer to build the more useful one first.
I also plan to get a Stompa at some point in the near future. While they seem to be useless in the game I think it would be fun to build and make an impressive display piece.
