Hi all.

Bit of an odd one here but long story short, the plan is to make a flying glottkin.
Problem is, trying to find a set of wings that looks even close to the right size for the model.

Zombie dragon wings are far too small.

I’ve debated the idea of Dorghars wings or ones from a stardrake, but I don’t own either model.
Can anyone do a size comparison for me of these wings if possible please?

Alternatively, anyone got any suggestions for alternative wings please?

Daemon Mortarion? He's the only one why might have realistically large enough wings. I don't have him but I have daemon magnus and his wings are pretty big.

Managed to pull up some pics of his wings in comparison to other stuff.
Sadly I need to find something even bigger.

I’d be looking for wings that would suit a knight for a rough idea on size.

The FW bloodthirster wings are pretty big.

Maybe you need to think outside the box and see if you can get a model pterodactyl or something.

does it need to be from GW ?

The FW thirster wings are ideal, but I really don’t want to pay £160 for a set of wings unless I have no other choices.


Model wise I’m happy with anything.
I’ve even been checking amazon for toys and the like just incase I find something.
Main issue is getting the right size wings.

Seen the dragon in the flesh a few times and those wings would be perfect, I just didn’t realise I can order parts.

Mierce Miniatures has got some big kits.
They do bits orders on most of them and are UK based.

I’ll have to take a look at mierce too.

Found the netherlord wings on offer for £36 so grabbed a set right away.
Will now need to hunt down some GUO parts then I can start chopping.

Plan is to give him a tail made from his tentacle arm that he stands on, like archaons mount.
Should give it a good bit more height so would make a much more imposing arch daemon.
