Hey guys.
Haven't played in a while and no idea where to find this rule. If there's a wall between your model and an objective, but you're within the 3", are you holding the objective or not?
As a bonus, mind telling me where I can find this rule if you know?
Cheers!

You can capture an objective through a wall.
There is no rule explicitly stating this, because there doesnt need to be. The rule says you need to be within 3", that's it. You are within 3" regardless of whether a wall is placed in the intervening distance.

You can. The rule is in the objective capturing rule (either in the mission description for Eternal War missions or the Maelstrom rules if you're using a Maelstrom mission). If you're within 3" of the centre of the objective marker, you can control it. No rule prohibits you from doing so from behind terrain.

Yes, you are holding the objective. There’s no rule spelling this out AFAIK, but the only limitation on controlling an objective is to be within range of it. For it to be otherwise there would need to be a rule specifying that terrain blocks you from controlling the objective rather than a rule to say that you can do it.

Yes, because the only requirement is to be within 3” as you’ve noted. (Obviously provides you’ve satisfied other capturing conditions like number of models, unit type, ObSec, mission specific rules etc.)
If you and your opponent feel a piece of terrain should stop you claiming something you can house rule it, but as written there isn’t a rule making terrain block you from controlling objectives.

As the others have said, there is no rule saying you can control an objective because such a rule does not need to exist. Rather, there would need to be a rule saying you can't since the rules state you control an objective if within 3" of the center of the objective.
