Been Around the Block

Hi,

I’m thinking of trying my hand at some 3d modelling for fun, what advice would you give to a complete novice?

For example where is a good place to start? PC or MAC? Also what software do people recommend?

Many thanks,
Dave

For basic geometic things I’ve been playing with tinkercad. It’s free and web based.

Fusion 360 is free for hobby use and is fine for vehicles and stuff but you'll struggle to do individual figures on it

It depends what you're trying to do. If you want to do vehicles and structures, Fusion360 is my recommendation, if you're trying to do anything else then you'll have to look at a different application - Blender is an incredibly powerful free option, but it can be very frustrating to learn.
