Did they ever issue a FAQ clearing this one up? E.g. If you quicken some shining spears, do they forget how to fly and have to go around that ruin, or do they stay in the air because they're moving "as if" it was the movement phase? Basic common sense would say they don't forget because the movement is "as if," but this is GW we're talking about...

Thanks for the link. That would mean they do get to ignore terrain/models as long as it says "move as if movement phase," right?

Yes, because FLY allows you to do that in the Movement Phase.
