Hi all

So some of the forge world dreadnoughts look pretty neat. In terms of kit bashing, when building them, can you use the weapons from regular GW dreadnoughts without to much hassle? Reason for asking: trying to figure out how to reduce the cost of getting one onto the table top without going to 3rd-party 'counts as' arms/weapons.

Cheers!

For the regular box-y ones, of which I think only the Salamander Bray'arth Ashmantle is still being produced, they all use the same "pegs" as the plastic kits.

For the Contemptor, you could use the plastic arms on them, as both ultimately use the same ball joints.

Hmm, if I remember correctly the boxy FW dreads have slightly smaller pegs, but that might not be true for the remaining in production ones which I don't own. This means that you can use magnets to make the plastic weapons work with the resin kits pretty easily.

For contemptors, honestly I'd just buy the FW weapons. Those plastic contemptor kits are, uh, contemptible. Insulting, even.

That might depend on which body it was, the MK V or the MK IV.

Generally the FW weapons fit the plastic Dreads, like the multi-melta and autocannon arms, perhaps with some adjustments.

As for the other way around, I'd check, but I can't lay my hands on my Chaplain Dread body, but either shaving or filling will work.
