Just bought myself a wet palette, but there's no instruction about when you should clean it.

1. When do you clean the "sponge" part? After each painting session, once a week, once month........?
2. When do you replace the "paper" part? After each painting session, when there's no room for more paint..........?

Thanks in advance!

I do it once or week or so, or after I painted metallics.
Paper, after no more room and old paint gets into new one, or I begin painting new color scheme/project.

I use homemade wet palette. I change everything between painting sessions. I keep the palette wet with paper towels and once they have dried I re-use them as brush wiping towels to reduce waste.

That place is the harsh dark future far left with only war left.

I use the Redgrass Wet Palettes (both big and small). I usually change out the paper on the small palette every few days, or if the palette becomes full. On the large palette, I usually change the paper every week, and rarely does it get full of paint like the small one will.

I rinse out the sponge and clean the palette every time I change the paper.

Mine is a piece of parchmant paper wrapped around a folded paper towel. I can get two back to back sessions, but after it dries, it's as easy to make a new one as to try to restore the old. So I go through three a week.
