A long long (long) time ago, I purchased Battle for Armegeddon from GWs "Wargame Series", and I've decided to dust it off. In the box, there are extra counters for a chaos army that I cut out of a White Dwarf but never got round to playing with. I can't remember which issue it was (my back issues are long gone). Does anyone know which issue had the Chaos scenario in? It would have been after UK issue 155.

"Chaos Attack" was an expansion for Battle for Armageddon, not a White Dwarf feature but a boxed product.
You might be thinking of "Warmaster" which was a free game included in WD around the time of BFA's release. It was a small version of BFA where the Emperor and his gang crashes Horus' party onboard The Vengeful Spirit. Been decades but it was a fun little game as I remember it.

Battle for Armageddon was an awesome game! I still have a boxed copy and bring it out from time to time. A lot centred around whether the Orks could conquer enough of the hives, and reduce imperial production capacity, early on. Otherwise once those super heavy tank companies started rolling off the production lines...
The Chaos expansion that SamusDrake mentions was pretty cool too - I believe set during the Chaos invasion of Armageddon a long time before, and IIRC featured some Space Wolf great companies (rather than the split Blood Angels, Salamanders, Ultramarines that were present in the Ork invasion).

This would be issue 151, and appears to be basically the same Chaos army included in the later released expansion, albeit with added Ork clans so they weren't just selling something they had given away for free 😊
