Subject: Is the Cadre fireblade and the Tactical Drones that accompany it a single unit?

If you take a Cadre fireblade and it is accompanied by 2 Tactical Drones, do they form a single unit?
Did I miss an FaQ somewhere?
Tried searching, but found nothing.

From the 'Cadre Fireblade' datasheet:
A Cadre Fireblade is a single model armed with a markerlight, pulse rifle and photon grenades. It may be accompanied by up to 2 Tactical
Drones (pg 109)
From the 'Tactical Drones' datasheet:
Drone Support: Tactical Drones often accompany other T’au Empire units. In such instances, a unit’s datasheet will instruct you if, and how many, Tactical Drones may accompany it. Tactical Drones included in your army in this way have the Battlefield Role of the unit they accompany.
When a unit is set up on the battlefield, any accompanying Drones must be placed in unit coherency with it. From that point onwards, the accompanying Drones are treated as a separate unit.
Without a FAQ to the contrary, this should be the ruling.

So you set up 2 units for the price of 1 - at the same time, that should be clear.

I will not rest until the Tabletop Imperial Guard has been reduced to complete mediocrity. This is completely reflected in the lore. |

This is at the heart of a question that has been bothering me since I very recently switched to 8th, so here's a follow on.
I cannot get my head around when someone would add the small number of drones that accompany many units.
They instantly become a tiny unit that can be targeted.
I really want to try out some of the interesting drones, such as a pulse accelerator, but it seems that it would be too fragile a unit to make it meaningful.
Does anyone actually add the drones that accompany units?
All the advice I have seen seems to say no.
Thanks,
Ian

Drones exist to be ablative wounds via Saviour Protocols, end of story.

Which I guess is an obtuse way of saying I have the rules and consequences correct. Oh well.
P.S. Thanks for the reply.
