Just building an AdMech list at the moment and I was wondering about melee attacks for Serberys Sulphurhounds. They have only one listed melee weapon and it's "clawed limbs" which have a special rule saying "When the bearer fights, it makes two additional attacks with this weapon.". Does that mean they can make all of their attacks with the clawed limbs, or just the extra two and then their other attacks at the default unarmed statline?

This question also covers a friend of mine who was running Drukhari Wyches who were running the net special weapon which had a version of this rule that said, IIRC, "When the bearer fights, it makes one additional attack with this weapon." and he was hoping to use all of their attacks with the net.

You have the choice to use either for the regular attacks, but are required to use the weapon for the additional attacks in both cases.

It seems like it would make more sense for the rider to make an attack with his close combat weapon whilst his mount gets a set number of attacks with its limbs. Howevever, rules as written, there is no reason why you can't use the limbs to make the regular attack as well as the two bonus attacks.

With the exception of the number of attacks, the wording is identical to the Space Marine chainsword.

As others have said, you make one attack with either the basic melee weapon profile, or the clawed limbs, and then you have to make two additional attacks with the limbs.

The above posters are correct, you can choose to make your base attacks with either your base profile or the Clawed Limbs, and the extra attacks with the Clawed Limbs.
