Can't seem to find a definitive answer, do GW Sprays (specifically the new Wraithbone and Grey Seer sprays) work on Metal?

I'm not sure that they do; I've got some models I've sprayed with them but otherwise haven't touched, but I'm finding it easy to scratch off the GW primed stuff than some stuff I primed with a Krylon White a few years ago (again, haven't touched since).

I've also got some models that I had fully painted after priming with the GW Sprays. I intend to seal them, but, if the GW Sprays aren't good for priming metal, I'm not sure it will be enough. If GW Sprays aren't primers, can I do anything to save the paint job on these or, if I intend to use them on the table top, is the only option to strip them and redo them?

Yeah they work. Just keep in mind they are only overpriced spray paint, nothing special. You’d be better off buying non GW branded sprays for a lower price and better product. The only exception would be if you are trying to match colors.

1) Always wash the models in soapy water. Either dish detergent or Simple Green/Super Clean mixed with water. That removes any mold release from the metal (doubt any left after sitting a while but always better safe).

2) Don't spend the ridiculous money GW wants for White and Black paint/primer. Go the automotive primer way. 1/4th the price and a true primer is always better than a paint and primer in one (which GW's most assuradely are).

3) Don't listen to people when they say "automotive primer clogs detail on minis". Unless you are holding said primer 2 inches from the model it's not "thicker" or "heavier" than "hobby primer". Viscosity is the same because they all come out of the same size nozzle hole at the same pressure.

I've never once used "hobby primer" in the 25 years I've been painting 40k models. It's always been Krylon or Rustoleum. The few issues I've ever had were with a bad can but bad cans of paint happen to every brand of paint, even GW.

Hell, the $.97 cent Color Place spray paint that is a brand of Walmart is as good as GW Black and White. LOL
