Women in the Guard are very common in the lore but not in the models, so converting is pretty much the only option.

Legs and torso are Cadian. But I shortened the legs by sepeprating them from the 'skirt', chopping a bit off and reattaching them.
Her arms and weapon are from Les Grognards from Wargames Atlantic with a laspistol tip and half of a pair of binoculars as a scope.
The head is from Victoria Miniatures.

The arms are a bit slimmer than standard cadian ones and the hands aren't huge mits, combined with the shorter legs gives a suitable look for a woman in military kit.
I've always assumed that the imperium only has the STC fragment to produce one size of uniform, armor and boots.

Thanks, Yeah I'll post a pic when she's done. First I have to build her friends.

And they are done. One squad of angry girls ready to ruin the day of some heretics.

Thanks, they were fun to build and paint.

Man I like em.

There is a character to the whole unit! Like there is rich history and deep lore behind it.

I don't think I would brave such a conversion, very detailed!
And it as fun, and that is most important!

Exactly what I try to go for with my stuff. Its a lot more fun if your guys have something unique and character that makes them stands out.

I'm always hoping this gives them plot armor on the table, but no luck with that yet.

Also its easier than it looks. guardsmen are ideal for conversions with the multipart kit and (relatively) low cost.

Really sharp! I'd never want to minimize the effort you put in, but I think your return on investment is huge. For what it took, you really created a strong impression of slight but sturdy bodies in oversized kit. Bravo!

High praise, thanks!

Now if only GW would just release some actual female guard...
And/or some different regiments/options...

Hear me GW? I'd love to not buy 3rd party if you let me!
