Are there any? Someone challenged me on this, that there are none, it's all white men writing. Are there any minority writers of content in the Black Library? I asked their facebook web page, and got crickets.

Yes, there are several - Edoardo Albert, Chris Pramas, Lucien Soulban & Henry Zou (now blacklisted) for examples. Remember that authors frequently use pseudonyms.

I'm pretty sure they're all english/french/german guys dudes from Britian if you check. You might be hard pressed to find an author outside of Europe or one of the US lads.

However they do have 100+ authors and I'm just thinking of the Horus Heresy writers. Check out the older fantasy novels for WHFB from the early 2000s. We want ONE asian author and my buddy swears there isnt one.

My friend is sitting here rolling laughing at this topic. He always says and is now saying he wants more Asians to be portrayed as space marines and he doesnt want them to be generic samurais/hwarang. He want's longer hair that isnt viking/space wolf on marines.

edit: Henry Zou! Aussie Lad from DOWN UNDER. Flesh and Iron was dope I'll lend him the book!

Yes. However Storm Constantine, Debbie Gallagher, Sarah Cawkwell & Rachel Harrison aren't.

Also, Black Library has yearly Open Submissions where anyone can submit a story in order to be considered.

How do you get blacklisted from BL....

Why do authors use pseudonyms? I understand why for some authors who are well known but not as a general practice.

tremere47-fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate, leads to triple riptide spam

Plagiarism -
1d4chan wrote:Sadly Zou seems to have fallen from grace after it was accused that Flesh and Iron contained passages plagiarized from a contemporary American soldier's memoir, House To House. (Which they totally were. It's pretty blatant.) When this was discovered Black Library was sued, and as a result Zou has been purged from their records, his author page has been deleted and all of his books are no longer in print. The only trace of him not purged are his two short stories that were published in multi author anthologies, and a couple preview pdfs that someone de-indexed but didn't fully delete.

The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts.
