Had a look on GW site, the bases thread on dakka and google and can't seem to find if these two models have the same base size?

If anyone could tell me that would be great. Want to use a Forgefiend with ecoplas to proxy a skull cannon as i dont much care for the skull cannon model. Bases size kinda does matter for this unit as it has rules that do MW when within 1" of it

If anyone has a photo of the two models side by side for scale anywhere (i know unlikely) that'd be even better.

thanks!

It says on GWs webstore what bases come with each model and kit. Just go down to the description and it will be there. Usually the last thing in the description.

Skull Cannon says: "Includes a Citadel 120x92mm Citadel Oval base."

Forgefiend only says "large oval base" which unfortunately is not a proper measurement. A little digging into GWs bases and eyeball comparison to the pictures of the Forge/Maulerfiend suggest that they have the same base. However, it is possible that they do not. If I owned one I would measure it myself. GW really needs to update the older models descriptions to include all sorts of information such as specific base sizes.

yea, to be fair they are normally pretty good with bases sizes in their descriptions.

In this case though, not so much. I'm pretty sure they are the same size but having never seen a skull canon model in the flesh (and unlikely to ever) just not 100%.

The Dakka Basing Guidelines says the Large Oval is 120mm x 92mm.
