Hey guys.

I got my hands on a chinork that was 3D printed and looks different and all, but ill use it as a chinork. My question is, What base size does a Chinork use?

And what loadout would you give it?

Does it function best with cheap weapons with its main function being a transport, or does it function best as an actual gunship?

They use the 120mm large oval base.

I usually just keep the default guns, they're pretty fragile to be a gun platform. Free deffguns are ok anyway.

I've not run one yet (the one I made was damaged in a house move) but I was intending to run the twin rattler cannons - IIRC that's 4D6 S5 AP-1 Dam D3 shots, which will rip through most light-medium vehicles in a good turn. then the chinork will die.

there's als othe technicality that a chinork has FLY as a keyword, and so can use strategy to get +1 to hit fliers, which is a modifier, so technically passes onto the dudes inside through open-topped, meaning anti-air lootas. technically. it probably won't fly in a game though!

I have 5 Chinorks which i use in larger games, one is scratch built, one is the kit from Ramshackle games, the other three are based on Vietnam Bell Huey kits with ork bits and door gunners and pilots attached.

I would run them with Rattler Kannons with the changes in 9th meaning you don't suffer the -1 to hit with heavy weapons. The Ratler Kannon is an absolute beast.

I was thinking about running the Rattler kannons as well even though it becomes more expensive.

What does a rattler kannon look like? i since i dont have an actual chinork and i got one from a 3D print, the weapons didnt follow.

Yes, some sort of large minigun/multi-barrel kannon.

Bearded Dragon, its like an assault cannon.

I got mine including ball turrets from an alternative ork model source, i can't remember if it was ramshackle games, Kromlech.

But you could also use actual assault cannons, burst cannons or something of that ilk
