I plan to play Crusade with my local gaming group. Heck, I plan to try and drag together all the local WH40K players on the regular to play Crusade.

Here's my intended starting Crusade Force Battle Roster (50PL):

HQ (cannot have Warlord Traits or Relics at the start of the Crusade. it's not clear if you can use the Chapter Master strategem or not)
5 PL Captain w/power fist, MC Boltgun
4 PL Primaris LT

Troops (it looks like they have to start at minimum levels, so that's where I started these guys)
5 PL Infiltrator squad
5 PL Intercessor squad ABR, TH on SGT
4 PL Tac squad with plasma gun
4 PL Tac squad with hvy bolter, TH/bolter on SGT

Elites
3 PL Apothecary

Fast Attack
7 PL Inceptor Squad w/assault bolters
4 PL Land speeder w/heavy bolter+assault cannon

Heavy Support
4 PL Eliminators with bolt sniper rifles

Dedicated Transport
5 PL Razorback with SB, assault cannons, and HK missile

That totals 50PL, which is my starting Supply. I feel like it gives me enough options to control the Combat Patrol battlefield, and enough speed to get to hard-to-reach objectives. I'm worried about my lack of anti-tank power, since I'm basically counting on Imperial Fists exploding 6's and the Thunder Hammers (and the captains power fist) to deal with things at the 25PL mark. Is there something critical that I neglected?

Chapter Master falls into the Specialist Reinforcements category. You'll need to spend an RP for that, but once you do your selected unit will be the big cheese for the entire campaign.

Overall, looks pretty fun for a starting Crusade list. Nothing too cheesy, but still has solutions for most tactical problems. If you're genuinely worried about AT, double up on the plasma in the one Tac squad, and consider swapping the Razorback to a Twin-Las configuration.

Thank you for the feedback! I didn't realize the chapter master stratagem was a special case. I think that's a good choice on GW's part.

The stuff that gives me the worst headache is Eldar Wave Serpents. And 2 Lascannons aren't going to solve that problem, given how lucky the Eldar player is. I'm just going to have to use weight of dice to wear him down, I think.
