Decided to sign up to give it a look see, seems like it's broken. No confirmation email after nearly half an hour of waiting and every time I try to refresh, I get an internal site error. Anyone else having this issue?

Its' likely just overloaded with the entirety of GW's fanbase trying to register at once.

That said considering they are pairing it up to the stores I'm surprised they didn't just build a migrate account service into the system and move everyone over on its own. Especially since many people own digital downloadable content that they've paid for

Depends on the back end system, and what mapping would have been needed to happen between the two

It took about 2 hours for me to get the confirmation email.

I also just got mine. I'm impressed at the level of demand, the hobby really has grown by leaps and bounds from when I first came to it 5 years ago.

It has really taken off in my area, enough that we got a Warhammer store(had 1 flgs that handled it as well), then it got hit by a tornado less than a year after opening, and just reopened during COVID-19. Even with all that the 40k community has been growing. Two other towns in the area that never had 40k before had stores start stocking 40k with gaming space. The college I went to even started carrying 40k models in their bookstore to support the on campus 40k community. I started playing in 05 and nobody stocked 40k anywhere around here.

Most systems will only be able to process a certain number of sessions at once.
I have not had an email yet, despite waiting a day to press the 'resend' button.
They should have had a 'sign me up' button on the GW store site, and that would have sped things up a lot. But as has been said, mapping details and field entries can be fiddly, so why not start from scratch?

The name of the app though... Every other app I have on my phone is "My Something". When I want this, I would have looked under "w", but nope, not there.

I registered at the first chance, and get to the empty website, but no email.

I requested mine last night and have yet to receive it

I requested it this morning and received it around lunchtime.

So like others, my first attempt to sign up yesterday seemed to have resulted in no verification e-mail despite requesting e-mail be resent. Then the website just produced an error message when I tried to visit it. Tried different browsers (Chrom, Edge) and different PC's.

This morning, no change in results on first attempt. Still getting error message on any PC based browser.

So tried using Safari on iPhone and attempted to sign up again using different e-mail. This time it worked.

So it seems that if your first attempt had lead to a dead end, your option is either try to create another account with a different e-mail/browser combo or contact GW support.

This is not giving me good vibes about the stability of the app at launch.

Well what do you know, I just got the verification e-mail for my first registration attempt. It's almost like GW was listening in?
