Hi,

This stuff is great at removing paint, why are we using this to clean thing other than airbrushes? Is there something in it that will damage brushes?

I imagine it would strip the oils out of any natural brush hairs, potentially damaging them

Airbrush cleaners are solvent based. VERY hard on regular brushes. Mostly damage the glue that holds the hairs into the ferrule which will cause hairs to fall out.

Nothing worst than clear coating a model and finding a brush hair on a visible part of the model now encased in clear. You either strip the clear to remove the hair, thusly more or less ruining the paint underneath or you leave it and hope nobody else sees it.

So yeah, use a brush cleaning soap or soap and water. I use Masters soap for cleaning my hairy sticks and Createx AB cleaner for my AB.
